With sick, crying, whining kids today...this is what I had to get done for a baby shower I am helping throw for a friend tonight. It is probably the worst cake I have ever made, but oh well, as long as it takes good that is all that matters! :) I didn't have the time or energy to devote to my perfectionist ways! :)

Today I had a growth removed from my arm to be sent away for a biopsy. Ouch!

Today was a no school/work holiday and it was pretty lazy day! :)

This evening we went to a Holiday Social for "Steve's" work! It was fun to get all dressed up since I am usually in jeans and a t-shirt! :)

Two friends and I went on a nice bike ride this morning...11.5 miles to be exact! :) We ride often, but usually have to haul our kids behind us in bike trailers, so it was nice to be kidless! :) Saturday morning rides may be the way to go instead of during the week!

Today is the 100th day at MG's school, which is a big deal for the school (for funding) but not such a big deal for the kids. So they do lots of fun things on this day to encourage attendance! Besides all the things her class is doing it is also "dress crazy" day throughout the school. MG thought this was great...although we really didn't get too crazy. She went to school with two different shoes, two very different earrings, and braid on one side of her head with a ponytail on the other!

Today at playgroup we moms sat and cut out Box Tops for MG's school. It was so nice to sit and do it with other people rather than by myself...and it took no time at all! :)

I took GA's pacifier away today! He is almost 2 and it is time. He wouldn't take a nap without it and screamed instead...so we will see how bedtime goes! Ugh.

This is my third, and probably final, year of being the Creative Activities leader for my local MOPS group. Our theme this year is Surviving Motherhood, so our Steering Team wears these "Survivor" t-shirt to every meeting.

Farewell. This weekend is "Steve's" last weekend in the Army Reserves. After a little break from serving almost 5 years active duty, he decided to join the reserves and has served for almost another year and a half. I am happy I will no longer spend weekends without him, but I will definitely miss some of the benefits!

Thanks, Nana for the t-shirts!! Nana sent Daddy some shirts from his high school for Christmas. He has one and the girls got one also to sleep in. They were pretty excited to put them on tonight. Go Tigers! :)

What better picture could describe today??! My long awaited (a week is a long time!) Project 365 kit arrived today! I am SO excited. I have cleared my entire bed and have begun the process of assembling. So much for cleaning the floors today! HA! I guess I need to get this past weeks pictures developed, huh? I think this is going to be a really fun project! :) And I will prove my hubby wrong and actually finish it successfully! He gives me until April to fail...

Homework! MG is not a huge fan of doing homework. And to her dislike, her teacher assigns it every night! She never has a problem doing it, but certainly doesn't enjoy it. She would much rather watch TV or play Wii. First grade sure is tough! :)

What can I say? They love the bath! And I love that they love to take baths together because it saves me time! And having them take a bath during the day saves me from fights later in the evening when MG is taking a shower and JF wants in too...I simply say, "Remember? You already took your bath today!" :)

No better picture could sum up my day!! LAUNDRY!! And lots of it! With all the company and parties and happenings over the past few days, our laundry certainly did pile up! But I am happy to report...I managed to get it all done! :)

Today was one of those days where I had too many pictures that I wanted to use...so here are 4 pictures in one! This counts right?!? :) My brother and his family are here for a visit on their way back to Texas....they came over for dinner and the kids watched a movie while the dads watched football. I am thankful that my kids have the opportunity to know some of their cousins and see them fairly often.

Friends! This is me with a good friend of mine who lives here, Jenn, and one I grew up with, Jen, at Vinny's. It seems to be a tradition for us to go to Vinny's whenever Jen and her hubby are here visiting! We ate there a lot together in HS. :) I love these girlies! :)
